Balaena demonstrates recovering 314 gpm with an oil to water ratio of 99%. AND for the first time ever at Ohmsett, we tested our system with floating plastic pellets.
Ohmsett 2023 has just wrapped up and this year’s testing results show our best performance yet.
Check out our deployable skimmer collect emulsified oil in the video below.
This system can be used from a trailer or barge and includes a skid with all the equipment necessary to function autonomous and delivers the same oil to water ratio on recovered product.
This year’s Ohmsett testing resulted in an overall recovery of 314 gpm with an oil to water ratio of 99%.
For the first time ever at Ohmsett, we tested our system with floating plastic pellets.
A special thank you goes out to the entire Ohmsett team for their support and allowing our vessel to ingest 3mm “nurdles” to demonstrate how we pull them in to our system and recover floating plastics successfully!
We would like to extend a special thank you to the entire Ohmsett team as well as Stephane Johnson of Triox Environmental Services and Rich D’Allassandro with Marine Spill Response Corporation pictured here.
Although not pictured, at our regret, we would also like to say thank you to Tom Binsfield of Rock Leaf Water, USCG, BSEE and Navy Supsalv for coming out to be a part of our testing.
That’s a wrap!
